Quality Assurance Analyst II (Manual/Automation)
Location: Englewood, CO
Schedule: Hybrid – 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
Employment Type: Long-Term W2 Contract (6-month contract with ongoing renewals)
Pay: $30–35/hour depending on experience
Position Overview
Our Fortune 500 telecommunications client is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst II to join their team supporting next-generation Wi-Fi and connected device technologies. This individual will play a key role in validating the customer experience across wireless networking, smart home devices, and customer support applications while helping drive the team's transition from manual testing to automation.
This role is ideal for a QA professional with a strong manual testing background who enjoys problem solving, critical thinking, and identifying opportunities to automate repetitive testing processes. Candidates with experience testing connected devices, IoT products, consumer electronics, or networking technologies are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of Wi-Fi and connected device functionality.
- Validate customer experience behind wireless routers and connected home devices.
- Test provisioning, troubleshooting, and support workflows used by customer service teams.
- Execute unit, system, integration, and application testing.
- Design, execute, and document detailed test cases and test plans.
- Identify repetitive manual test cases that can be automated.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python.
- Perform API testing using Postman.
- Analyze application logs using Splunk to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
- Work closely with developers, systems engineers, and product teams to resolve defects.
- Participate in defect triage, regression testing, and release validation.
- Review technical documentation and translate requirements into comprehensive testing strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of Quality Assurance or Software Testing experience.
- Strong experience with manual testing methodologies.
- Experience with Python scripting.
- Experience using Splunk for log analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience performing API testing using Postman.
- Understanding of SDLC and QA best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing Wi-Fi, networking, or connected consumer devices.
- Experience with IoT devices such as smart home products, streaming devices, gaming consoles, or connected electronics.
- Familiarity with Thread and Matter protocols.
- Java experience.
- Playwright or other automation framework experience.
- Linux exposure.
- SQL knowledge.
- Experience with JUnit, Cucumber, or similar testing frameworks.
Interview Process
- 30-minute virtual interview
- Final onsite panel interview
