Desktop Support Technician

Long term Ongoing Contract (potential to extend or convert full time)

Onsite in Frankfort, KY

$18-20/hr

Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour shifts (start times between 7:00 AM–8:00 AM; end times between 4:00 PM–5:00 PM)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking motivated Desktop Engineers/Desktop Support Technicians to join a growing IT support team in Frankfort, Kentucky. This position is ideal for candidates with strong computer skills who enjoy hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise desktop environments. We currently have two openings and are looking to begin interviews within the next one to two weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Image and deploy Windows 11 workstations.
• Provide desktop support and basic break/fix troubleshooting.
• Assist with hardware and software installations and configurations.
• Perform routine workstation maintenance and support activities.
• Create or modify basic PowerShell scripts (preferred).
• Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to support end-user computing needs.

Required Qualifications

• General computer and desktop support knowledge.
• Experience working with Windows operating systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Frankfort, KY.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience imaging and deploying Windows 11 devices.
• Basic PowerShell scripting experience.
• Prior experience in desktop engineering, desktop support, help desk, or IT support roles.
