What You'll Do
- Prepare new engineering drawings and revise existing drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.
- Adhere to company, client, and ANSI drafting standards and procedures.
- Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, ACADE) for technical drawing creation and revision.
- Support field data collection and assist with permit pulling as required by project locality.
- Manage multiple concurrent distribution projects independently, meeting weekly deadlines.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by managers.
- Collaborate with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers within the Distribution team.
- Maintain basic proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ensure all drafting work supports pole replacement, distribution design, and electrical distribution projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree in a CAD-related program or specialized CAD certification plus at least 2 years of relevant drafting experience.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Experience with electrical schematics, circuit design, and substation project estimating.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn, with an aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
- Growth mindset, comfortable leveraging AI tools and emerging technology.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
