Job Title: Automation Technician
Location: Tucson, AZ (on-site)
Duration: Ongoing contract with the possibility of extension
Shift Times: M-F, 6:00am-2:30pm
Pay rate: $25-$27/hr
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands‑on Automation Technician to help keep our manufacturing equipment running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. In this role, you’ll work directly with automated and semi‑automated machines that support the production of life‑changing diagnostic products.
If you enjoy troubleshooting, fixing equipment, learning new mechanical systems, and being the go‑to person when something breaks — this is a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine maintenance, checks, and inspections on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues to keep equipment running.
- Disassemble and reassemble machines as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Support new equipment installs, validations, and calibrations.
- Look for opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Keep clear and accurate documentation to meet quality and safety requirements.
- Help train new technicians and share best practices.
- Work closely with operations and leadership to support production goals.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of experience fixing, maintaining, or troubleshooting production equipment, test equipment, or similar machinery.
- Strong mechanical skills and confidence using tools.
- Someone who learns new equipment quickly and can explain it to others.
- Good communicator who works well on a team.
- Organized, safety‑minded, and proactive about preventing issues before they happen.
