What are the responsibilities and job description for the AI Implementation Strategist position at Brooksource?
Technical Business Analyst
Location: On-site in Greenwood Village, CO 80111
Contract Duration: Long term ongoing contract with possibility for conversion
Pay: $65/hour
Overview: Our client is launching its first agentic AI solution for Customer Operations, partnering with Google to build an enterprise-scale AI agent that will handle a portion of customer support interactions. This initiative is one of the fastest-moving AI programs within the organization and requires a highly capable Technical Business Analyst to support the technical requirements workstream. The program is live in production, scaling across three concurrent workstreams today, and expanding to three to five concurrent workstreams over an 18-month roadmap. This Technical Business Analyst role is the operational backbone of the technical workstream -- serving as the documentation and requirements management counterpart to a senior architect. The right person is technical enough to facilitate cross-functional meetings with engineers, elicit requirements in real time, and independently define what “good” looks like without waiting to be told. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with senior leadership, help launch a groundbreaking AI product, and be part of one of a high-visibility initiative.
Skill Set
- 5 years of experience as Technical Business Analyst, Systems Engineer or Software engineer
- Must come from a technical background and be able to get in the weeds to understand the build out of a new, cutting edge solution
- Requirements analysis experience within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting custom build or net new projects is a huge nice to have
- Strong background in:
- Decomposing and translating business requirements into clear, logical, testable technical requirements
- Reviewing and interpreting Product Requirements Documents (PRDs)
- Creating structured requirements traceability artifacts (spreadsheets, matrices, or trackers)
- Writing or supporting the development of user stories in Jira, including acceptance criteria
- Agile methodologies (scrum, Kanban, sprint ceremonies)
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirements elicitation meetings with large, cross-functional technical groups (10 engineers and business stakeholders) -- able to ask the right questions, manage competing voices, and synthesize outputs into structured documentation
- Proactively self-directed -- able to identify gaps, define standards, and drive work forward independently without waiting for task-level direction; thrives in unstructured environments where the role is still being defined
- Working directly with engineering teams (AI, software, and platform engineering)
- Exceptional communication and executive presence — comfortable interacting with senior leadership.
- High emotional intelligence and calm under pressure — able to operate in a demanding, high-stakes environment.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, and frequently changing delivery contexts.
- Strong active listening skills
Responsibilities:
- Analyze Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and translate them into structured, logical technical requirements to support engineering teams.
- Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions with groups of 10 engineers and business stakeholders -- drive the meeting, ask clarifying questions, and produce structured requirements lists and draft design documentation from the outputs.
- Decompose PRDs into individual detailed requirements in a spreadsheet or tracking tool, ensuring clarity, traceability, and alignment with the technical workstream.
- Support technical team members in writing user stories, including drafting acceptance criteria and ensuring alignment between requirements and story scope in Jira.
- Attend technical design meetings to identify, clarify, and document technical requirements in real time.
- Partner with architects, AI developers, and software engineers to support the creation of logical system diagrams, functional design flows, and supporting technical documentation.
- Collaborate with product/business stakeholders to interpret and validate business requirements, ensuring technical requirements reflect intended outcomes.
- Maintain requirement tracking tools and ensure requirements are accurate, complete, prioritized, and ready for engineering consumption.
- Support sprint activities through backlog grooming, refinement sessions, and cross-functional discussions.
- Assist with dependency identification, requirement sequencing, and cross-team requirement alignment across 30 partner teams.
- Provide clear communication on requirement status, gaps, risks, and changes with professionalism and strong executive presence.
- Work closely with the Technical Workstream Lead (hiring manager) to ensure alignment, momentum, and rapid clarification or resolution of requirement-related issues.
- Handle rapid turnarounds, requirement changes, and priority shifts with maturity and attention to detail.
- Support occasional after-hours/weekend work (remote) as needed based on program demand.
Interview Process: Two 30-min rounds via Webex. One with the hiring manager and one follow up panel with additional team members.
Selling points:
- This is a net new, highly innovative project with full buy in at the c-suite level
- Working with pre-released GCP technologies on an 18-month roadmap
