The Cabinetry Service Technician is responsible for completing service work efficiently and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and timely job completion. The primary goal of this position is to successfully close service jobs by resolving installation issues, completing repairs, and maintaining the highest quality standards. This role works closely with the Project Manager, installers, customers, and builders to ensure all service requests are completed accurately and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete service calls and close jobs in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate service schedules and job completion.
- Install replacement cabinet parts and components as needed.
- Perform cabinet touch-ups, adjustments, and minor repairs to restore product quality.
- Install cabinet hardware, including handles, knobs, hinges, and other accessories.
- Assist installation crews with cabinet installations and service-related tasks when needed.
- Inspect cabinets and replacement parts for quality, fit, and finish before installation.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, customers, builders, and project stakeholders.
- Document all work completed using company software, including service notes and job status updates.
- Take clear photos before, during, and after service work to document completed repairs.
- Identify and request replacement parts when additional materials are needed to complete a service job.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while representing the company in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Experience with cabinetry installation, finish carpentry, or cabinet service preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve installation and product issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to use mobile devices and company software for documentation.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry materials and work with hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project managers and installation teams.
