What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Consultant - Projects position at Brooklyn Hospital Center?
The Per Diem Nurse Supervisor provides leadership and is responsible for supervising the assigned patient care units on the evening and night shifts, all day weekends and holidays. Makes rounds on the patient care units and communicates with the staff. Ensures staffing is appropriate for the incoming shift. Reviews staffing and adjusts as necessary based on the census. Is responsible for investigating and/or resolving issues and communicating to the appropriate department head for additional follow-up where necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. Master’s preferred
- One (1) to two (two) year nursing leadership experience.
- Current New York State License as a Registered Professional Nurse
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
