What are the responsibilities and job description for the Endoscopy Technician position at Brooklyn Hospital Center?
The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the preparation, processing, maintenance, inventory of endoscopes and accessory equipment in the Endoscopy Unit; assists in the performance of all procedures in the Endoscopy Unit.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Successful completion of Central Sterile Supply Technician Program
- Prior experience performing the tasks of Endoscopy Technician
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Certified Endoscope Preprocessor.
- Certification from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service
- Demonstrated ability to do arithmetic.
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
