What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Assistant Teacher position at Brooklyn Children Learning Academy?
Position Begins: Immediately after meeting requuirements
Schedule: Mon- Fri 8 am – 5 pm
Compensation: $17/ hour
Requirements
· 18 years/ older
· HS Diploma
· 2 years experience in childcare setting
Mandatory Training and Procedures

- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR and First Aid
- Mandated Reporting (Child Abuse)
- Medicine Administration Training (MAT)
- Sexual Harassment
- Food Handling
- 5 hour health and safety e-learning course
Responsibilities
· Create and implement approved lesson plans
· Help maintain a clean, fun and safe learning environment (see center workflow)
· Communicate and meet with families about children’s development
· Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff members, students, families and visitors
· Engage students in hands on activities (indoors and outdoors)
· Model family style practices during meal times
· Implement routines that promote physical activity, rest, playtime, and healthy life practices
· Supervise and mentor volunteers and camp participants during summer months
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
