Position Overview:
Brookfield Country Club is seeking a dedicated and motivated Server Assistant/Banquet Server to join our team. This position plays an integral role in delivering outstanding service to our members and guests by supporting servers during A la carte dining and servicing banquet events. The ideal candidate will be energetic, team-oriented, and committed to upholding the Brookfield steps of service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server Assistant Duties:
• Refill water glasses, assist with beverage service as needed, and ensure that all tables are properly set for service.
• Pre-set silverware, and assist with flipping and resetting tables for the next course or event.
• Follow Brookfield’s steps of service, including crumbing tables, folding napkins, marking silverware for subsequent courses, and proper clearing of plate ware.
• Provide bread service for guests and assist servers with various tasks as required to ensure a smooth dining experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that service stations are stocked and ready.
• Banquet Server Duties:
• Cross-trained to assist with banquet events for members, including room set-up and buffet preparation.
• Ensure proper placement of buffet items, and assist with replenishing food and beverages during events.
• Assist with clearing plates, glassware, and utensils during and after events, ensuring a tidy and efficient space.
• Support the team in the overall execution of member events, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a service-oriented role (preferred but not required).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt quickly to different tasks.
• Flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional guest service.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays or other items for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to move quickly and efficiently during events.
