SHORT BIO: Transit Valley Country Club is a premier family-oriented, private member-owned, facility located in the suburbs of Buffalo, New York. Transit Valley started with humble beginnings and has become one of the finest golf courses in New York State. The Club was established in August 1921 when nine men met to plan a new country club in Western New York. Today, TVCC is a family-driven club offering an excellent social programming schedule, kid’s camp, swim/tennis/golf teams, and sport camps.

What’s new?

Transit Valley has completed a multi-phase renovation project in April 2021. Phase I of the Project included: A new kitchen, pizza bump-out with a pizza oven, new lobby restrooms and a complete renovation of the Women’s Locker room. Phase II of the Project included: A new indoor/outdoor 25 seat bar, two golf simulators with a lounge, patio, and fire pit, renovated Men’s Locker with the addition of a bar and card room, upgrading of our casual and formal dining rooms.

Position Overview:
Transit Valley Country Club is seeking reliable, energetic, and customer-focused individuals to join our Banquet Staff team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional service for weddings, private events, corporate functions, and member gatherings. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and take pride in creating memorable guest experiences, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications (tables, chairs, linens, place settings, décor)
• Provide professional food and beverage service to guests during events
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces before, during, and after functions
• Assist with buffet service, plated meals, and beverage stations
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
• Work closely with kitchen and event staff to ensure smooth service
• Break down and clean event spaces following completion

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.70 Gratuity

Requirements:

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (required)
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry trays, tables, chairs, and other equipment (typically up to 30–50 lbs)
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high service standards
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
• Prior banquet, restaurant, or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required
• Willingness to follow instructions and adhere to club policies and service standards
