Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Marina Forklift Operator to join our team in Brookfield, CT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move boats and equipment, assisting with dock operations, and providing excellent customer service to marina clients.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to move boats, trailers, and marina equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with launching and retrieving boats from the water.
• Perform dock maintenance and general upkeep to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Load and unload supplies and equipment as needed.
• Provide assistance to marina customers with docking, launching, and other related services.
• Inspect equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and marina policies at all times.
• Work collaboratively with other marina staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating forklifts or similar heavy equipment is required.
• Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of marina operations and boating is a plus.
