What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infectious Disease Physician position at BronxCare Health System?
BronxCare Health System, a major teaching hospital and health system, now has an excellent opportunity for a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Infectious Disease Physician. Responsibilities include conducting inpatient and outpatient consultations, as well as HIV primary care. Infectious Disease Physicians participate in the teaching and administrative activities of the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Department of Medicine. Leadership opportunities include overseeing service programs, such as counseling and testing, linkage to care, and community outreach. In addition, Infectious Disease physicians participate in antimicrobial stewardship and infection control. Academic appointments at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai are also available, commensurate with credentials and experience.
