Infectious Disease Physician

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Infectious Disease Physician to the group at NYC Health Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient HIV and infectious disease care, including services at Jacobi’s designated AIDS/ID Center.
• Perform thorough patient evaluations, physical examinations, and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic infectious conditions in a high-volume academic medical setting.
• Order, interpret, and integrate diagnostic and therapeutic testing to guide clinical decision-making.
• Prescribe and manage appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment regimens.
• Collaborate with seven Infectious Disease Attendings and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Educate, mentor, and supervise Advanced Practice Providers, Residents, and Medical Students.
• Support the academic mission through teaching and clinical instruction as part of an Albert Einstein College of Medicine appointment.
• Maintain continuity of care through flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Share clinical responsibilities with Attending Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners.
