Racquet Courts Maintenance

Position Summary:

Responsible for the diverse range of activities involved in the care and maintenance of the tennis courts, does semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Operates power equipment such as rollers, large brooms and gas blowers.

· Maintains, cleans, repairs sprinklers and water supply lines to the watering system.

· Cleans, refurbishes, relines and levels tennis court surfaces.

· Changes nets and net posts when necessary. Checks height of nets daily.

· Cleans and maintains water fountains, cabanas, seating and viewing areas.

· Operates golf cart and other light equipment to haul materials, debris, tools and supplies.

· Repairs fences, windscreens and gates courtside.

· Maintains courtside drainage system and performs other job-related duties.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Ability to perform the above responsibilities in a satisfactory manner

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. but not required. Good to have experience in working with tennis courts, and in particular, clay courts.

Employee must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
