Job Title: Substitute Teacher Aide
Job Description:
The Substitute Teacher Aide provides support to teachers and students in the classroom when the regular aide is absent. Duties include assisting with daily classroom activities, reinforcing instructional content, helping supervise students, and supporting individual student needs. The Teacher Aide works under the supervision of the classroom teacher and/or school administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher with instructional and non-instructional tasks.
- Support students with classwork, organization, and transitions.
- Help supervise students in the classroom, specials, hallway, lunchroom, or playground.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed.
- Maintain a respectful and safe classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with children preferred.
- Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively.
Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude.
