The Brocton Central School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to serve as a 7–12 Business Teacher beginning with the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team dedicated to preparing students for college, careers, and civic life through engaging, relevant, and rigorous learning experiences.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Certification in Business and Marketing Education (7–12) or eligibility for certification.
- Strong knowledge of business education curriculum and instructional best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Experience integrating technology into instruction.
- Ability to qualify for and teach dual-enrollment college courses through the District's partnership with Jamestown Community College (JCC) is preferred.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Teach business education courses to students in grades 7–12.
- Develop and deliver engaging instruction aligned with New York State Learning Standards.
- Provide instruction in areas such as personal finance, entrepreneurship, accounting, marketing, business communications, computer applications, and career readiness.
- Deliver and support dual-enrollment business courses through the District's partnership with Jamestown Community College.
- Assess student learning and use data to inform instructional decisions.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, counselors, administrators, and community partners to support student achievement.
- Participate in professional learning, faculty meetings, and school improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to a positive school culture that promotes student engagement and success.
Salary : $43,800 - $54,600
