- $400 paid after 60 days of work.
- $300 paid after 120 days of work.
- $300 paid after 180 days of work.
Responsibilities
Curriculum/Instructional Planning and Implementation:
- Develops and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Utilizes a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and engage students in the learning process and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs.
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
- Coordinates with other elementary professional staff members, especially within grade level, to evaluate and assess curriculum, and participates in faculty meetings and committees.
- Establishes and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respects and cooperation among students.
- Implements positive behavior intervention strategies to support students in developing appropriate social and behavioral skills.
- Works closely with the school's behavior support team to address challenging behaviors and implement effective interventions.
- Ensures that student conduct conforms with the school's standards and school district policies and establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a positive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- Conducts ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Regularly assess student progress using a variety of assessment tools and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents.
- Collaborates with colleagues to analyze student performance data and tailor instructional approaches accordingly.
- Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.
- Regularly communicates with parents and guardians regarding student achievements, challenges, and overall progress.
- Fosters open and effective communication with parents through regular updates, parent-teacher conferences, and other communication channels.
- Works collaboratively with parents to support students' academic and social development.
- Participates in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends, teaching methodologies, and curriculum advancements. This includes attending workshops, seminars, and professional meetings such as faculty and department/grade level meetings.
- Collaborates with fellow teachers and staff to share best practices and enhance the overall learning experience for students.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal, Assistant Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

- Bachelor's degree and NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities K-12.
- Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum, instructional strategies, and educational trends.

Salary : $300 - $400
