Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting precise measurements and assessments of land, structures, and resources to assist in various civil engineering projects. The Surveyor will utilize advanced technology and software to gather data, analyze results, and prepare reports that support project planning and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct sitework construction surveying using specialized equipment and software to determine property boundaries, topography, and land features.
  • Collect data through GPS systems, total stations, and other surveying tools.
  • Collaborate with onsite job supervisor, engineer, or contractor to provide accurate measurements for project designs.
  • Analyze survey data to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Utilize trigonometry and geometry principles to calculate angles, distances, and elevations.
  • Maintain surveying equipment in good working condition and ensure proper calibration.
  • Communicate findings effectively with project stakeholders through presentations and documentation.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Trimble 3D surveying hardware and software (Earthworks/Siteworks)
  • Strong understanding of data collection techniques and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with GPS technology for accurate positioning and mapping.
  • Excellent mathematical skills including trigonometry and geometry.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various outdoor environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
