Summary
The Marketing Associate is a vital member of the Broadway Across America’s (BAA) North office in Minneapolis as part of BAA. This entry-level position assists the Marketing team in the tactical implementation of advertising and public relations campaigns to ensure successful Broadway engagements in Appleton, East Lansing, Grand Rapids, Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Omaha.

Summary
The Marketing Associate is a vital member of the Broadway Across America’s (BAA) North office in Minneapolis as part of BAA. This entry-level position assists the Marketing team in the tactical implementation of advertising and public relations campaigns to ensure successful Broadway engagements in Appleton, East Lansing, Grand Rapids, Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Omaha.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Facilitate approval process, and routing via email, with BAA National teams, partner markets and shows to ensure all collateral is accurate, effective and maintains brand consistency
- Proofreading marketing materials for content, style and accuracy per North Marketing Team guidelines
- Provide creative support and development of marketing materials with regards to marketing messaging and design, following prescribed style preferences and accuracy of information with oversight from senior staff
- Manage coordination and tracking of production work on behalf of BAA and partners including, but not limited to, emails, website updates, print ads; from the initial request through to completion, sending and/or trafficking of the finished assets
- Prepare advertising settlements by accurately accounting for all bills associated with media placements and expenses related to the show’s advertising budget for select North Markets
- Provide advertising plan, advertising settlement proofing and actualization support to North Marketing Team
- Create BAA Production Invoices and distribute to partners
- Collect and submit advertising invoices from partners to BAA Accounts Payable
- Responsible for updating season and single ticket advertising budgets with actualized AP Invoices
- Provide support on the creation of, verifying accuracy and scheduling of emails, SMS and app notifications, and distributing schedule to BAA North office members
- Executes advertising plans in coordination with the Marketing team; maintains communication with venue partners, show representatives, and vendors
- Assist Marketing and Ticketing staff on presale, promotional offers, and third party offers to get created and operational; ie BAA created microsites and Ticketmaster promo pages
- Maintains the local Broadway Across America market webpages for the seven markets including facilitating updates and brand standard of BroadwayGrandRapids.com with oversight from BAA National Marketing
- Assist with ensuring accuracy in Monday.com project management system for all BAA North office members
- Takes notes on partner and show calls for North Marketing team and shares with North office members

Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Theatre or Arts Administration preferred but not required
- 1 – 2 years of marketing experience preferred but not required
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Experience and knowledge with Google Sheets and Docs a plus
- Attention to detail, proof-reading, copy-editing skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret advertising plans, digital advertising reports and ticket sales reporting
- Ability to write marketing copy that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from partners, colleagues, or members of the industry.
- Ability to effectively present information to colleagues
- Ability to work on multiple projects at a time with good time management skills in order to meet deadlines
