**CONTRACT TO HIRE after 6 months (hourly pay to salary pay upon conversion)
**This project spans from Ft Wayne to Indianapolis following the I69 corridor.

Position Summary
The Fiber Splicing Construction Manager will oversee all fiber splicing operations, construction activities, field teams, and subcontractors supporting fiber network deployments. This individual will be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer quality standards.
This is a leadership role best suited for someone who has progressed from fiber splicer to supervisor and now manages multiple crews, projects, and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fiber splicing supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Oversee fiber splicing, terminations, testing, troubleshooting, and network activation.
- Schedule crews and monitor production across multiple projects.
- Review fiber design packages, splice matrices, route maps, and construction drawings.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Manage quality control, safety, and project reporting.
- Review OTDR traces, power meter testing, and network acceptance documentation.
- Participate in project estimating, contract negotiations, and change order management.
- Support emergency restoration activities when required.
- Recruit, train, and develop fiber personnel.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Must Have:
- 5 years of hands-on fiber splicing experience.
- 3 years managing fiber splicing operations, construction projects, or telecom field teams.
- Experience overseeing large-scale fiber deployment projects.
- Strong knowledge of FTTH, OSP, aerial, and underground fiber construction.
- Advanced OTDR testing and fiber certification experience.
- Ability to read splice diagrams, route maps, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple crews simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
Highly Preferred:
- Former Fiber Splicing Supervisor, Fiber Construction Manager, OSP Manager, or Telecom Construction Manager.
- Experience supporting telecom carriers, broadband providers, utilities, or large-scale fiber overbuild projects.
- Strong customer-facing experience and ability to handle escalations.
