About the Opportunity
Our Client is seeking an experienced Coax Splicer to support the installation, activation, maintenance, and repair of coaxial cable networks that deliver broadband, video, and voice services. This position is responsible for maintaining network integrity through splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and plant maintenance activities in both aerial and underground environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform coaxial cable splicing, activation, and repair on aerial and underground telecommunications networks.
- Install and maintain hardline coax, connectors, splitters, taps, and amplifiers.
- Read and interpret network prints, system maps, and construction drawings.
- Conduct signal testing and balancing using industry-standard equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve signal loss, ingress issues, and service interruptions.
- Prepare and secure splice closures and enclosures according to company and industry standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance and network upgrades.
- Complete documentation including as-builts, photos, and system updates.
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with construction managers, field technicians, and network operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years of coax splicing and/or HFC telecommunications experience.
- Experience working with aerial and underground coaxial networks.
- Ability to read and interpret system maps, prints, and network documentation.
- Experience with hardline coax, connectors, splitters, taps, and amplifiers.
- Knowledge of signal testing and troubleshooting.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- CDL License.
- Experience working with major cable operators such as Comcast, Spectrum/Charter, Cox, Altice, or Mediacom.
- Knowledge of network balancing, node segmentation, and plant maintenance.
- Experience operating bucket trucks.
- Experience working in confined spaces.
