Job Overview
Broad Porch Coffee is looking for a part-time Roastery Assistant to help us prepare, pack, and ship the coffee we roast. This is a coffee-focused, hands-on position for someone who enjoys precise work and wants to learn more about what happens behind the scenes at a roastery.
You’ll help set up cuppings, handle freshly roasted coffee, and make sure each bag is correctly labeled and every order goes out accurately.
What you’ll do
- Set up and break down coffee cuppings, including preparing samples and keeping the tasting area organized.
- Weigh, bag, seal, and label coffee accurately.
- Check coffee names, weights, roast information, and order details before packing.
- Pack and ship orders carefully and on time.
- Help track finished coffee and packaging supplies.
- Keep production and packing areas clean, organized, and ready for work.
- Learn our coffees and participate in tastings when available.
Who you are
You’re reliable, detail-oriented, and interested in coffee. You take pride in getting the small things right, whether that means an accurate label, a well-prepared cupping, or an order packed with care. Prior roastery experience is helpful but not required.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
