This role involves fostering critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and a love for learning in a supportive classroom environment..Teacher attendance is an essential function of all BWRSD positions.QualificationsTeaching certification in PhysicsProject Lead the Way (PLTW) certification, or willingness to become certified, in order to teach Engineering coursework (Principles of Engineering)Strong knowledge of Physics principles and scientific inquiryExcellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to engage and motivate students.Organizational and time management skills.Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young minds.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver engaging physics lessons aligned with state and district standardsTeach topics such as mechanics, electricity and magnetism, waves, and modern physicsDesign and conduct laboratory experiments that reinforce theoretical conceptsAssess and evaluate student progress through tests, projects, and assignmentsDifferentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilitiesMaintain a safe and organized classroom and laboratory environmentIntegrate technology and interactive tools into instructionCommunicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding progressParticipate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school eventsSupport extracurricular activities such as science clubs, competitions, or tutoringCollaborate with colleagues to coordinate curriculum, share resources and promote interdisciplinary learning experiences.Evaluation: Annual, based on above job responsibilitiesReports to: Building Principal
