Seasonal / Temporary Position
Brinson Marine is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Seasonal Dock Removers. This position is responsible for safely removing, transporting, and storing docks and related waterfront equipment at the end of the boating season.
Responsibilities
- Remove docks, ramps, and associated waterfront equipment from lakes and waterfront properties.
- Work as part of a crew to safely lift, carry, load, and transport dock sections and equipment.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment as needed.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
- Organize and properly store docks and equipment for the off-season.
- Follow all company safety procedures and instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Perform other seasonal duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working around water and on docks.
- Previous marine, construction, landscaping, or general labor experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and directions.
- Valid driver's license is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy dock sections and equipment.
- Ability to work on uneven surfaces, docks, shorelines, and in outdoor environments.
- Must be comfortable working around water.
- Position may require early mornings, extended days, and variable hours depending on weather and workload.
Schedule
This is a seasonal position, primarily during the fall dock-removal season. Hours may vary based on weather, customer schedules, and workload.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people who show up on time, work hard, take safety seriously, and are willing to get their hands dirty. Previous experience is valuable, but a strong work ethic and dependable attitude are most important.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 65.0 per week
