Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

About Us & The Role
At Pro Snow Removal & Outdoor Living, we don’t do average, cut-corner work. We build premium custom decks, railings, hardscaping walls, and custom patios engineered to survive Central New York’s harsh freeze-thaw cycles for decades.
We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman who takes immense pride in high-end craftsmanship, understands structural integrity across wood framing and masonry, and knows how to lead a crew with authority, efficiency, and respect.
Year-Round Stability: During the spring, summer, and fall, you will lead custom deck and hardscape builds. In the winter season, we transition to our commercial snow management operations, providing continuous year-round income and leadership roles through commercial snow plowing.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Site Execution & Craftsmanship (50%)
- Deck & Railing Construction: Execute end-to-end deck builds, including post footings, ledger board mounting, code-compliant framing, custom deck board installation, stairs, and precise railing systems.
- Hardscaping (Walls & Patios): Oversee and execute site excavation, sub-base compaction, elevation setup, and precise installation of retaining walls, seat walls, and paver patios.
- Ensure proper pitch, structural integrity, and code-compliant framing on every job site.
2. Crew Leadership & Site Management (30%)
- Direct, mentor, and hold a 2–4 person crew accountable to daily production goals.
- Enforce job site safety, proper tool/equipment care, and maintain clean, professional work zones.
- Train junior crew members on proper carpentry framing, hardscape installation, and safety standards.
3. Operations & Winter Management (20%)
- Commercial Snow Plowing: Lead and execute commercial snow plowing and winter management operations during the winter months.
- Safely operate machinery and equipment (skid steers, mini-excavators, plate compactors, wet/dry saws, framing tools, laser levels, and snow plow rigs).
- Communicate daily project progress, material needs, or field change-orders to the main office.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3 years of leadership experience as a foreman running a crew in deck construction, hardscaping (patios & walls), or general site construction.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of deck framing codes, railing assembly, sub-base preparation, slope/pitch ratios, and structural masonry.
- Equipment Mastery: Experience operating skid steers, excavators, power tools, framing tools, and commercial snow plowing equipment.
- Leadership Style: Solution-oriented, dependable, and able to lead by example under field conditions.
- Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean record (DOT medical card or CDL is a plus).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $35.00 – $45.00 / hour ($75,000 – $95,000 / year based on experience).
- 4-Day Work Week: Enjoy 3-day weekends every week during the main season (Monday – Thursday, 10 hr/day schedule)!
- Overtime Opportunities: Friday work is optional for team members looking to log extra overtime pay.
- Year-Round Work: Commercial snow plowing operations during winter months.
- Retirement: 401(k) with company matching.
- Insurance: Comprehensive Health and Dental insurance options.
- Time Off: Paid Time Off (PTO).
- Equipment & Tools: Specialized safety gear, modern machinery, power framing tools, and top-of-the-line equipment provided.
- Growth: Opportunities for advancement as our outdoor living and commercial divisions expand.
