Cafe Manager Job Description
The Fenimore Art Museum, in partnership with the Brimstone Bakery/Café, seeks a full-time Café manager to oversee the operations of the Brimstone Café at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, NY. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a passion for hospitality who can motivate staff to deliver exceptional service while maintaining a clean and inviting environment. Your goal will be to increase profitability, boost customer loyalty, and ensure the cafe runs efficiently.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Minimum 2-4 years food & beverage/hospitality experience
- Process a strong knowledge of customer service, kitchen organizational skills and understanding of Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math proficiency for financial tracking and cash handling.
- Availability: Flexible schedule required, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 25–50 pounds.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
