Cafe Cook

Oneida Health is currently seeking a full-time Café Cook to work days (flexed hours) in the Hospital kitchen and café. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the preparation and service of food and cleaning kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and be serious about cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

What You’ll be Great At:

• Executing recipes and or product directions with great attention to detail. 
• Opening the kitchen during the morning shift to ensure all equipment is turned on and all doors are unlocked for employees. 
• Operating a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season, and knead food for cooking, serving, and storing.
• Inspecting workstations for compliance with service standards including sanitary requirements. 
• Testing products to ensure the desired tastiness.
• Completing basic cooking responsibilities.
• Attending all allergy and foodborne illness in-service trainings.
• Complying with all HACCP policies and procedures
• Following safety precautions when using kitchen equipment.

Your Essential Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Experience:
  • Food service: 1-2 years (Required)
  • Cook: 1-2 years (Preferred)

Salary : $17 - $22
