Interim Senior Accountant (4–6 Month Project)
I’m working with a $200M private equity-backed organization that is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support the accounting operations of one of its subsidiary offices. This is a highly visible opportunity to partner with local and corporate accounting leadership and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of the month-end close process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries related to accruals, payroll, cash, prepaid expenses, and other general ledger activity
- Perform monthly account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close activities for the subsidiary office
- Review and analyze general ledger activity to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Process and reconcile daily cash transactions and assist with weekly payroll accounting entries
- Maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other recurring accounting items
- Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations between the subsidiary and corporate entities
- Work within multiple legacy accounting systems while leveraging advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting
What They’re Looking For:
- Strong general accounting and month-end close experience
- Experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations in a corporate or subsidiary environment
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting
- Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
This is a 4–6 month consulting engagement with immediate impact and significant visibility within the organization.
Salary : $55 - $65
