Senior Accountant | $90,000 to $100,000 Bonus/Benefits | Hybrid
We are partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This role offers broad exposure across month end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, process improvement, and cross functional collaboration within a fast paced environment.
The Senior GL Accountant will play a key role in the month end close process and support the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial reporting. This individual will work closely with accounting leadership and business partners across the organization while helping drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support month end, quarter end, and year end close activities
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Analyze financial data and provide commentary on fluctuations and trends
- Partner cross functionally with finance, operations, AP, AR, and other departments
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and automation efforts
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP standards
- Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3 years of general ledger accounting experience
- Strong understanding of month end close and financial reporting processes
- Experience preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- ERP experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment
