ABOUT THE ROLE
A busy personal injury and insurance litigation office in Southfield is seeking a full-time Legal Receptionist to join its team. This role is ideal for someone who is professional, organized, and enjoys being the first point of contact for clients and visitors.
The Legal Receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive client experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the office. You will work closely with the attorney and legal support staff to keep communication, scheduling, and administrative tasks running smoothly.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Front Desk & Client Support
- Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Take accurate messages and relay information promptly
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and office correspondence
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Administrative Support
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and consultations
- Assist with calendar management for attorneys and staff
- Open and maintain physical and electronic client files
- Scan, upload, and organize documents within the case management system
- Draft and send routine correspondence as needed
Client Communication
- Assist with client intake and collecting basic case information
- Communicate with clients regarding appointments and document requests
- Provide updates and follow-up communication under attorney/paralegal direction
- Coordinate with insurance companies, medical offices, and other parties when needed
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with attorneys and legal staff to support office operations
- Learn office procedures and case management workflows
- Help maintain efficiency in a fast-paced legal environment
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and professional team culture

- Reliable and punctual with the ability to consistently be in the office by 9:00 AM
- Professional, friendly, and confident communicating with clients

- Technologically comfortable and able to learn new software quickly
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar office software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred (Not Required)
- 1–3 years of receptionist, administrative, legal, medical, or insurance office experience
- Familiarity with legal office procedures or case management software
- Experience handling client communications in a professional setting
