Our nurses are the heart of our company - the BrightSTARS to our patients.ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 care in the patient’s home.Implement treatment and plan of care using sound judgment and critical thinking.Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the care plan and nursing processes.Perform all skills, treatments, and procedures to the scope of practice defined in the Nurse Practice Act in the state of clinical practice and adhere to the company policy, procedures, and protocols.Required SkillsEDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred)SKILLS/ABILITIESRegistered nurse with current unencumbered licensure to practice professional nursing in the state inwhich the care is being provided.Minimum of one (1) year of documented experienceExceptional nursing assessment skillsExcellent interpersonal skills.Analytic/Critical thinker.Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff, and community.Case management skills are a plusAbility to work on weekends, nights and holidaysReliable transportationUnderstanding of regulatory compliance, including state and Federal regulations including but not limited to OSHA and HIPAAWORKING CONDITIONS Limited travel, up to 10% as needed for various client care service needs, as well as staff and business needs including attending job required training and conferences.Contact with clients under a wide variety of circumstances. Care provided in client’s living environment with varying situations or in an institution such as a hospital or long-term care facility. May be required to respond to emergency situations. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues.Personal Protective Equipment may include gloves, mask, eye/face protection, and disposable outer covering or lab coat.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the ability of the client. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds. Visual and hearing acuity required.
