As a COTA, you will play a vital role in assisting patients in achieving their therapeutic goals and improving their overall quality of life.
Requirements
- Ability to commute to patients home
- Ability to commute to cases in the general area of Hollywood, Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Weston, and Miami Gardens
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- AHCA Level 2 Background check. https://info.flclearinghouse.com
- Valid state licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in home health environments.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care that promotes patient independence and well-being.
- Availability to work weekends and short notice as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising occupational therapist.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress notes.
- Timely documenting visits.
