Job description:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, warehouse organization, and personnel while ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and exceptional customer service. This individual will supervise warehouse staff, maintain inventory accuracy, coordinate domestic and international shipments, utilize SAP Business One to manage warehouse transactions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support the company's global distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Lead, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse personnel while promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Assign daily work priorities to maximize productivity and meet customer delivery requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation.
- Process inventory transactions, receipts, transfers, shipments, and warehouse documentation using SAP Business One.
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely processing and proper documentation.
- Maintain organized warehouse storage locations and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and housekeeping standards.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Customer Service, Sales, Logistics, and Operations to resolve shipment discrepancies and support customer requirements.
- Assist with domestic and international shipments, including export documentation and freight coordination.
- Prepare warehouse reports and maintain accurate records using SAP Business One and Microsoft Office applications.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, workflow, inventory accuracy, space utilization, and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Ideal Candidates
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of warehouse experience, including supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
- Experience managing shipping, receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices and OSHA regulations.
