Job Title: Production Supervisor (1st & 2nd Shift)

Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all operational activities within the production area. This role ensures efficient scheduling, workforce productivity, product quality, safety compliance, and optimal equipment performance while maintaining adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability of materials in alignment with production requirements and schedules.
- Administer company policies, work rules, and labor agreements in a fair and consistent manner.
- Achieve quality objectives related to food safety, product quality, and continuous improvement in internal and external audit performance.
- Ensure all operations comply with HACCP regulations, USDA guidelines, and internal quality specifications.
- Identify and recommend improvements to processes, methods, equipment, and facilities to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate and supervise production personnel, assigning work effectively to meet operational goals.
- Oversee employee onboarding, orientation, and training to ensure timely and effective skill development.
- Drive performance against efficiency targets, including yield, labor costs, and waste reduction.
- Provide strong leadership while ensuring adherence to safety policies and achievement of safety goals.
- Manage and control overhead costs, including indirect labor and supply expenses, as directed.
- Complete all administrative tasks accurately and within required timelines.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Support extended work schedules, including 10-hour shifts and 6–7 day workweeks, as required.
- Take ownership of special projects and ensure timely completion.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a unionized environment and handling conflict resolution.
- Familiarity with ERP systems within a manufacturing setting.
