Mechanical Design Manager – Reno, NV
Occasional travel to Seattle, WA
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage mechanical design projects from planning through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and scope are met.
- Coordinate with Project Development Teams, Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and consultants.
- Manage and oversee Designer of Record (DOR) and consultant performance.
- Lead design reviews, resolve design issues, and ensure compliance with project requirements and codes.
- Review contracts, scopes, specifications, plans, and design deliverables.
- Support development of design, construction, sustainability, and commissioning standards.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and milestones and drive timely decision-making.
- Support cost-effective facility design and successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- PE license preferred
- 5 years of experience managing design projects
- Strong project management, research, and communication skills.
- Must be willing to work in Reno, NV with occasional Seattle travel.
- HUBZone residency preferred, but not required.
