Job Description
What You Will Do
- Set up, operate, and monitor Swiss-style CNC lathes and/or Mazak machines
- Run multiple machines simultaneously (2 machines) to meet production goals
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ±0.0001 inch tolerance
- Deburr, tag, and move parts to the next operation accurately
- Identify tooling (drills, reamers, inserts, end mills) and use them correctly
- Read and follow CNC programs and setup instructions
- Adjust machine offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy
- Identify materials and alloys using bar stock color codes
- Assist with machine setup, breakdowns, and troubleshooting
- Perform routine maintenance before, during, and after production runs
- Maintain clean and organized workstations (machines, bar feeders, floors, etc.)
- Detect defects such as burrs, poor surface finish, or out-of-tolerance features

- Support efficient shop floor operations through machine uptime and cleanliness
Qualifications – What You Bring
- 1–3 years CNC machining/operator experience
- Experience with Swiss-style lathes (Star preferred) or Mazak machines
- High school diploma or trade school certification
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good organizational and housekeeping discipline
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word)
