Overview
Responsible for designing, programming, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical and industrial automation/control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning and completion.
- Design and troubleshoot electrical/control systems, instrumentation, and power distribution.
- Develop and modify PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and control relay logic programs.
- Prepare electrical schematics, system specifications, BOMs, O&M manuals, and FAT/SAT documentation.
- Perform electrical calculations, equipment sizing, and component selection.
- Support FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and customer training.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and controls issues remotely and onsite.
- Work with designers, customers, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Mentor technical personnel and provide engineering guidance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, EET, or related field.
- 5 years of industrial automation/control engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, instrumentation, motors, and motor controls.
- Proficient in electrical schematics, control relay logic, and power distribution.
- Knowledge of UL 508A and NEC requirements.
- Industrial experience in manufacturing, water/wastewater, food & beverage, packaging, pulp & paper, or similar environments.
- Strong project management, troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.
