Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and independence.
- Support children’s social-emotional growth by encouraging communication skills, conflict resolution, and self-regulation techniques.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of each child's progress using standardized testing methods and observational techniques to tailor instruction effectively.
- Collaborate with families to discuss developmental milestones, behavioral concerns, and progress reports, ensuring clear communication about each child's welfare.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration while adhering to childcare safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong background in childhood development principles.
- Knowledge of curriculum development practices across early childhood education disciplines such as literacy education, math instruction, and physical education.
- Prior classroom management experience with toddlers or preschoolers; familiarity with Montessori or other specialized teaching methods is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities and differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage families in their child's educational journey.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields; experience with special education or early intervention programs is advantageous.
