Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director to develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula that meet educational standards and cater to diverse learning needs.
- Lead and supervise teaching staff, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Oversee daily center operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety protocols, and quality assurance standards.
- Manage program budgets effectively, including planning, monitoring expenditures, and identifying opportunities for resource optimization.
- Drive strategic planning initiatives to enhance program offerings, expand community partnerships, and increase fundraising activities to support center growth.
- Represent the center at community events and public speaking engagements to promote the program’s mission and foster positive relationships with families and stakeholders.
- Supervise classroom activities directly when necessary, ensuring a safe, engaging environment that encourages learning through play and exploration.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in education administration or childcare management with a strong background in curriculum development and classroom supervision.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams of educators or childcare professionals.
- Strong background in working with young children, including teaching experience in early childhood settings.
- Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in budgeting, strategic planning, and program evaluation.
- Effective public speaking abilities to communicate confidently with families, staff, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of licensing requirements, health & safety regulations, and best practices in early childhood education.
