Child Care Director

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to lead and oversee the operations of our early childhood education program. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood development, and a background in education administration. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with licensing standards, and fostering a nurturing environment for children. The Child Care Director will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in our care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with educational standards and best practices.
• Supervise and support teaching staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
• Manage daily operations of the childcare center, including enrollment, billing, and record-keeping.
• Foster positive relationships with parents, families, and community partners.
• Oversee staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging environment conducive to learning and development.
• Lead staff meetings and professional development activities to promote continuous improvement.
• Monitor program quality through observations, assessments, and feedback mechanisms.

Skills

• Higher education teaching experience or background in early childhood education preferred.
• Proven experience in education administration or managing educational programs.
• Prior university experience or familiarity with academic environments is advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support staff teams.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, staff, and community stakeholders.
• Knowledge of licensing requirements, health regulations, and safety protocols related to childcare settings.
• Experience working with diverse groups of students or children is highly desirable.

Pay: $46,635.61 - $60,000.00 per year
