Overview
Brighter Choice Charter School for Boys is seeking an enthusiastic and highly effective Math Teacher for Grades 3-5 who is passionate about helping scholars develop strong mathematical skills, critical thinking abilities, and confidence as learners.

Duties
- Planning and delivering engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction for students in Grades 3-5
- Creating a classroom culture that promotes academic excellence, perseverance, and a growth mindset
- Using student data to inform instruction, monitor progress, and provide targeted interventions
- Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Implementing effective classroom management systems that maximize learning time and student engagement
- Collaborating with colleagues, interventionists, and special education staff to support student achievement
- Building strong relationships with students and families through consistent communication and partnership
- Participating in professional development and contributing to a positive school culture
Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- New York State Teaching Certification (Grades 1-6 or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of elementary mathematics content and instructional best practices
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging and student-centered learning experiences
- Commitment to educational equity and high expectations for all students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working in urban schools or diverse educational settings preferred
