Duties
- Assist lead teachers in preparing and organizing classroom materials and activities aligned with developmental goals.
- Support children during lessons, playtime, and meal times, to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions among children.
- Help monitor and document children's progress, behaviors, and milestones to inform ongoing assessments.
- Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety standards.
- Support with basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and supervising toddler care or infant care when needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool or PreK.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to foster positive behavior management techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers effectively.
