Daycare Worker/Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. As a Daycare Teacher, you will play a vital role in the development and well-being of children in your care, ensuring they receive the support and guidance needed to thrive.

Duties

• Create and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
• Supervise and interact with children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children.
• Implement behavior management strategies to support children's emotional regulation and conflict resolution.
• Provide care for infants and toddlers, including diapering, feeding, and nap supervision as needed.
• Stay current on best practices in early childhood education through professional development opportunities.

Skills

• Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
• Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting.
• Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• First aid certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent classroom management skills to create an effective learning environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
