Job Title: B4L Program & Engagement Specialist
Job Summary
The Built4Life Program & Engagement Specialist supports the delivery and implementation of Built4Life programming and student-athlete development initiatives within BYU Athletics. This role focuses on coordinating initiatives related to mentorship programming, career development support, student engagement, and program data systems that enhance the overall effectiveness of the Built4Life program. Working as part of the Built4Life team, this position plays a key role in executing development initiatives, facilitating mentorship connections, supporting career-related programming efforts, and maintaining data systems that inform programming decisions and student engagement strategies. The role emphasizes relationship-building, program coordination, and consistent engagement with student-athletes. This position works under the direction of the Associate Athletic Director – Built4Life & Football Academics and in collaboration with the Built4Life team.

What You’d Do In This Role
Student-Athlete Experience & Programming
- Coordinate and support the delivery of Built4Life programming, including life skills
- workshops, leadership sessions, and engagement initiatives
- Assist with onboarding and transition support for incoming student-athletes
- Promote consistent participation and engagement across programs
- Support career-related programming initiatives including workshops and career treks
- Promote student-athlete participation in career development opportunities
- Collaborate with staff to support career readiness initiatives
- Manage day-to-day operations of the mentorship program
- Coordinate mentor-athlete matching processes
- Facilitate communication and monitor engagement
- Track activity and provide updates to leadership
- Serve as the primary administrator and coordinator of the Built4Life Hub platform
- Ensure accurate data entry from IXPs, Legends, and Partners
- Maintain data integrity and generate reports
- Assist in identifying trends to support programming decisions
- Coordinate logistics for workshops, treks, and events
- Manage scheduling and communication
- Ensure high-quality execution
- Build relationships with student-athletes
- Conduct check-ins to support engagement
- Serve as a resource for development opportunities
- Supervise and mentor one or more student assistants.
- Delegate operational responsibilities while modeling accountability and professionalism.
- Develop student leaders within the Built4Life team structure.
- Contribute positively to internal team alignment and collaboration
Required
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working with students, student-athletes, or young adult populations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate programs and multiple priorities effectively
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to uphold and live by the university's Honor Code
