- encourage members to provide pro bono legal services to vulnerable populations; and
- promote fairness and virtue founded upon the rule of law.

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS POSITION
The JRCLS Administrative Assistant principally provides administrative support to the Law Society’s Management Team, Law Society leadership, and guests of Law Society events.
Responsibilities:
A sampling of job duties include:
Support JRCLS Management Team
- Coordinate team members’ travel arrangements and spend authorizations with the BYU Travel Office
- Complete team members’ expense reports and reimbursements
- Schedule and confirm meetings for Directors (virtually and in person), including for Area Chair Meetings, Worldwide Forum Meetings, and other meetings
- Pay invoices
- Keep track of expenditures and maintain budgets
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and inquires
- Oversee issuance of invitation letters to Law Society members in need of travel visas
- Oversee travel stipend approval process for Law Society leaders attending the Law Society’s Leadership Conference each October.
- Coordinate speakers’ travel arrangements and spend authorizations
- Coordinate reimbursements for leaders and speakers
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and inquires
- Coordinate International Board communications, meeting scheduling, and minute taking
- Provide logistical support for international events as directed by the Directors, Event Manager, Student Chapter Manager, and/or Website Manager
- Order physical awards as directed by the Directors, Event Manager, and/or Student Chapter Manager
- Order gifts for Law Society members, speakers, and/or guests under the direction of the Directors, Event Manager, and/or Student Chapters Manager
- Pay invoices and keep track of expenditures
- Oversee the creation of event materials, including signs, name tags, and digital fliers
- Order and inventory office supplies and equipment as directed by the Directors, Event Manager, Student Chapter Manager, and/or Website Manager
- Pay invoices and keep track of expenditures
- Order and maintain JRCLS inventory of gifts and brand-items
Required:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree OR two years of related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree AND one or more years of related experience
SKILLS, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ETC.
- Fluent in English and either Portuguese or Spanish
- Commitment to the mission and vision of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society
- High level of writing ability, including drafting communications in multiple languages, and taking notes
- Sound judgment and sensitivity in working with high level attorneys, judges, business partners and leaders of various faiths
- Proficiency in working with websites and communications
- Working knowledge of social media and project management software
- Commitment and ability to keep sensitive information and records confidential
- Openness to receiving feedback and direction and ability to incorporate feedback into job tasks
- Ability to work independently and to direct others when required
- Ability to collaborate cooperatively with other members of the Management Team, BYU Law School personnel, International Board Members, and Law Society volunteers, including fostering positive and productive working relationships
- Highly developed organizational skills and efficiency
- Proficient with standard office software (especially Google Workspace)
- Familiarity with technology and willingness to learn and utilize new technology and tools
- Experience with maintaining and creating financial records
- Willingness and ability to participate in person at international Law Society events
- Willingness and ability to work occasional weekends
- Competent in using Canva
