Admissions Outreach Administrator - Utah Recruitment
The Admissions Outreach Administrator serves as a key ambassador for BYU, leading recruitment and engagement efforts within an assigned region. Reporting to the Associate Director of Outreach, this role builds meaningful relationships with high school counselors, prospective students, parents, and community partners through personalized outreach and a variety of recruitment initiatives.
This position also plays a critical leadership role in managing Utah recruitment efforts, including overseeing the training and certification of BYU high school representatives and supervising Outreach Interns. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and relationship-builder who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about helping students navigate their path to higher education.

Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1 year of experience in higher education recruitment; or equivalent combination of related experience and education.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in a related field of study, 3 years of experience in higher education and outreach or recruitment.

Typical Starting Pay: $65,500-$84,500
The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.

Admissions Outreach Administrator - Utah Recruitment

What You Will Be Doing In This Position
Outreach Efforts
- Coordinate and present at outreach recruitment events and activities
- Travel approximately 10 weeks out of the year to recruitment events across the country
- Evenings and weekend work occasionally needed
- Serve as a High School Representative with an assignment to represent BYU Admissions and educate high school counselors, prospective students, and parents regarding admission criteria and processes
- Meet with prospective students and parents regarding admission inquiries
- Ensure that all outreach efforts align with the prescribed outreach objectives and vision
- Manage special projects as directed
- Develop strategy for increased recruitment efforts in Utah in key areas of interest to the Admissions Department
- Oversee BYU’s participation in Utah recruitment efforts including UCAW and UHED
- Hire, train, and manage all outreach interns
- Develop/maintain up-to-date UHED presentation
- Participate in Utah-based meetings/committees including UACRAO
- Oversee the preparation of materials for all outreach related training for High School Representatives
- Certify competency on admission and outreach topics for all who are trained
- Provide and update online outreach reference materials
- Develop and manage the outreach audit procedures for trained representatives
- Provide periodic reports to the Director of Admissions on these efforts
- Assist with applicant communication to admissions office
- Assist with application decision-making processes
- Read applicant essays
What qualifies you for this role
