Required Degree: MS or PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience:

• Prior experience with teaching in Positive Psychology is preferred
• Knowledge and ability to teach about the science of well-being
• Experience in conducting original research in Positive Psychology is preferred
• Show commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring

Duties/Expectations:

• Teach Psych 349: Positive Psychology, topics include purpose, values, gratitude, mindfulness, supportive relationships, flow, transcendence, self-compassion, etc.
• Help students personally apply evidence-based well-being strategies using an experiential learning paradigm
• Prepare students to evaluate the research literature on topics in positive psychology
• In sum, address human flourishing by science and by faith, incorporating principles and teachings of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ
• Our department values belonging, student mentoring, a collegial culture, and the ideals of open and reproducible research

This course will be taught during Fall Semester 2026 T/Th from 9:30AM-10:45AM.
