Who you’ll report to & how you’ll rampYou will report to the Maintenance Manager. To prepare for start-up, you’ll receive hands-on training at our facilities in Vineland, NJ and Boucherville, Canada, traveling about every two weeks until the Salt Lake City plant is fully operational in early 2026.
What you’ll do- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, HMIs, sensors, conveyors, and automated packaging systems
- Perform scheduled PMs and calibrations on control systems and instrumentation
- Diagnose automation issues quickly to minimize downtime and stabilize production
- Work cross-functionally with Production, QA, and Engineering to meet operational and food safety targets
- Modify and optimize control logic to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve consistency
- Document all changes, maintenance activities, and compliance records accurately
- Adhere to GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA, USDA requirements
- Support commissioning and integration of new automation technologies and equipment
- Degree or technical certification in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- 2 years in industrial automation within food manufacturing or a regulated process environment
- Hands-on experience with automated packaging, robotics, or vision inspection systems
- PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and industrial networking expertise
- Knowledge of food-grade equipment, sanitary design, and CIP systems
- Familiarity with Mitsubishi, B&R, Tele-Mecanique, Wonderware, and motor drives (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Lenze, SWE)
- Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Clear communicator and effective collaborator
- Independent, flexible, and inventive under pressure
- Organized with sharp attention to detail
- Operate around machinery with noise and temperature variance—from blast freezers to boiler rooms
- Standing, walking, ladder climbing, and occasional lifting
- Flexibility for weekends or on-call support as needed
