Our client is seeking a Director of Global Total Rewards to lead and shape the organization’s compensation, benefits, wellbeing, mobility, and recognition strategies worldwide. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to ensure our rewards programs motivate performance, support engagement, and contribute to an environment where employees thrive.
As a strategic leader, you will balance global alignment with local relevance, leveraging data-driven insights and a people-first approach to ensure rewards programs attract, retain, and inspire top talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Partnership & Culture Enablement: Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders to design Total Rewards programs that reinforce accountability, recognition, and high performance. Support engagement, inclusion, and employee voice through effective rewards strategies.
- Global Job Architecture & Market Competitiveness: Lead global job architecture, leveling, and market pricing frameworks to ensure clarity, fairness, and career growth opportunities. Collaborate with HR leaders and benchmarking resources to evolve role structures according to market trends and business priorities.
- Global Compensation & Performance Rewards: Develop and implement competitive, equitable compensation programs. Lead job data and pay equity audits, oversee short- and long-term incentive plans, and guide sales incentive programs. Ensure alignment between performance outcomes, pay differentiation, and business results.
- Global Benefits, Health & Wellbeing: Design and manage benefits, leave, and wellbeing programs that support employees physically, emotionally, and financially. Balance global consistency with local flexibility, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure programs are competitive, compliant, and well-communicated.
- Rewards, Recognition & Employee Experience: Lead recognition programs that celebrate achievements, reinforce company values, and make employees feel valued and motivated. Continuously evaluate programs using employee feedback and engagement data.
- Compliance, Risk Management & Governance: Ensure global compliance with compensation, benefits, and employment regulations. Establish governance, policies, and decision frameworks for consistent and transparent Total Rewards management. Monitor trends, risks, and opportunities for program improvement.
- Analytics, Insights & Continuous Improvement: Use global data and analytics to inform decisions, measure program effectiveness, and enhance Total Rewards offerings. Partner with HRIS, Finance, and vendors to provide meaningful insights to leaders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or relevant certifications like CCP, GRP preferred)
- 10 years of progressive Total Rewards experience, with 7 years in a global or multi-country environment
- Proven expertise managing payroll, compensation, benefits, and HRIS across multiple regions
- Experience designing and scaling global compensation and benefits programs, including executive compensation and equity plans
- Strong knowledge of HRIS platforms and HR technology solutions (ADP, Dayforce preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, global setting
- Deep understanding of global HR practices, employment regulations, and compliance requirements
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to generate insights and support strategic decisions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and complex initiatives while maintaining focus on outcomes
